JEWTHREADS was born from a simple feeling — being deeply, proudly Jewish while wanting modern art-forward designs to go with that identity. Something that reflects how Jewish identity actually feels from the inside — ancient and alive, serious and luminous.
Our Jewish t-shirts, hoodies, and accessories draw from validated Talmudic and biblical sources. Yechezkel (Ezekiel) described a wheel within a wheel, covered in eyes, descending from fire and amber — the Merkabah vision of 593 BCE that Jewish mystics called Ma'aseh Merkabah — the Work of the Chariot — one of the oldest continuous traditions of Jewish mystical practice. The Talmud speaks of the Ziz ruling the sky, the Livyatan ruling the deep, the Behemot ruling the earth — three sovereigns of creation held in reserve since the fifth day. The Lion of Judah in three postures from Bereshit 49 — crouching, lying, standing. Who dares to rouse him?
