The Golem — formed from dust and river clay, called into being by the sacred letters.
The word golem itself means unformed — an unshaped mass, not yet complete. Before it took shape, before it stood, it was simply potential waiting to be called forth — the same silent potential Aleph holds before the first word is ever spoken.
Emet — truth — traced onto its forehead. Aleph, mem, tav. Erase the aleph, and emet becomes met — truth becomes death — and the golem returns to dust.
Vast and silent, built of the earth itself, it labored and stood watch at the threshold when danger came near — strength without a voice, devotion without a word.
